ok so he has basically spent his whole life on mount sorbet. when he was 10, the rabbits in the newly-established town of frosting killed his dad. after losing him, the wolves started avoiding the rabbits and gave up on the territory that was stolen from them. tundra, as the new leader, tried to propose scavenging (eating corpses) as a way to work around their food shortage issues, which caused an ideological split among those who knew about it, and treat's family left.
tundra taught timber to scavenge as soon as she felt like he was old enough. the problem with scavenging is that it relies on there being bodies to eat in the first place, so part of it is creating circumstances where someone (a rabbit) is killed. for tundra, she was happy to do this very directly as revenge for her husband's murder, but timber develops his own indirect methods that are more comfortable for him. (because just straight up killing someone is upsetting, even if you hate them!!!!!)
ultimately! he would rather not have to do any of this!!! but he does admit that it's fun to use rabbits' fears against them (making them run away from him and then fall to their deaths), he gets satisfaction out of them dying in that way, it's a way for him to feel power where he has none. he continues on scavenging each winter with no objections until the events of NWT change his feelings drastically.
Lonely Wolf Treat
timber is only in the alternate endings!!!! argh!!!!!!!! he was made for them specifically so it's ok, might put him in the epilogue somewhere, has yet to be seen.
alternate ending 1 spoilers
in bad end 1, treat is welcomed to glaze and has her first scavenged meal (you can choose not to eat it though). treat leaves out of discomfort (to get her coat from the cabin she'd been living in at the start), and timber follows her out of concern. manjuu shows up to harass treat, timber assumes she's going to try to kill her, and steps in to push manjuu off the cliff instead.
at this point, treat learns the truth about scavenging and is horrified. timber tries to shift the blame onto her and make her believe she was the one who got manjuu killed, because he feels like he needs to have treat implicated in the murder to avoid her trying to report everything and endanger the pack--I MEAN, it's all up to interpretation in the game so you don't have to take my word for it (sorry i know my word has a lot of weight here), if you want to believe he just does this because he's evil then feel free. i just think it's more interesting if he's doing his best in a horrible situation.
in bad end 3, you can read a journal in the basement of the warren that explains how all the taxidermy wolves got there. one of the entries is about taking down the "big bad wolf" (glaze's leader), so you get to see a little flashback with kid timber when his dad gets killed :') horrible!!!
to clarify a bit of the extended treat lore for those who might be curious... by the time timber's dad is killed, mango had already "disappeared" (as in, cotton has taken him in in secret and mango was too ashamed to return home). there had been violence going on for a while at this point... more context coming in bad end 3. remember when senbei said the wolves struck first??? is it mango's fault the rabbits got worked up enough to kill grim?????? HEY MANGO CAN WE TALK???????????
Syrup 2: Candy Alchemy RPG
after you fight 3 wolves in a row on mt sorbet, timber will jump into the battle to try to stop you. you need treat in your party for the first encounter. he asks you to stop beating up his pack members... and comments on treat and mochi's relationship, since he learned from pine that she's dating a rabbit. syrup comes away from the encounter wondering if they're in the wrong for fighting the wolves, but treat was taught that timber's pack is made up of hunters who are making wolves look bad. syrup notes that timber was right about treat and mochi's relationship not going well (knowing that mochi got disowned because of it), and treat walks away saying she doesn't want to talk about it.
fight another 3 wolves in a row this time with butterscotch in your party, and timber will return to try to stop you again. butterscotch attempts to smooth things over between syrup and timber, but syrup is too hardheaded and won't back down when challenged. timber tells her to come alone next time so they can fight one-on-one...
bad ending spoilers (cw: murder, cannibalism)
if you do come back to mount sorbet and continue fighting wolves, it'll start to snow heavily. soon enough, you can barely see at all... that's when you end up at the top of the cliff, facing a silhouette that looks like timber...
if you fend him off, you avoid the bad ending and timber doesn't come back. the wolves of glaze move deeper in the mountains, and wolves no longer appear in random battles.
if you lose, though... timber pushes syrup off the cliff, then comes down to where she fell, finding her broken and barely alive. he explains his motivations for doing this and blames her for continuously attacking wolves when he asked her not to. he brings her to an icy cave where he cuts up her body to feed to his pack. it is noted that for some reason, those meals had an aftertaste of magic...
Night with Timber
WHY YES I THINK I'LL TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO LAY OUT THE TIMELINE OF THE ROUTES...
so, this game takes place over a number of years. most of the endings are something that has happened with timber in some form. so when i say at the top that he's 30 in this game, it's like, that's how old he is in wolf route when he meets twigs. the rest you can assume happens while he's in his 20s (except the last route obviously which is the following winter after wolf route.)
in rabbit route, he leads various rabbits to their deaths. in human/witch route, you can get friendly with him but he takes off with your stuff by morning. the specifics of these events are mostly inconsequential so i'll skip summarizing, but in the witch epilogue you get to see plum, one of the witch traders who comes to do business with the wolves. it's important because you get to see that timber, through opening up to strangers a little, is able to bring in outside connections that lead to getting more food for his pack! this is something tundra can't really do, and i would say it's pretty much the way forward for glaze if they want to thrive in the future (tundra thinks that scavenging is their only real option...)
anyway, all his scavenging does actually lead to consequences, and he is captured and punished (as revealed at the end of wolf route). details below!
spoilers of the latter half of NWT
during the winter after the events of LWT, senbei hires osmanthus to capture a wolf for him. this is the first winter in which senbei has lived in frosting, he basically moved there in order to hunt down a wolf since he's convinced someone is definitely responsible for all those rabbit disappearances. (he's right! oh no, it sucks that he's right!)
senbei holds timber captive for 6 days, trying to get a confession out of him, but fails. timber exits this encounter with a scar on his neck, which tundra helps take care of. he wears bandages on his neck from this point on, and although the scar has healed he doesn't like to talk about it and hasn't explained what happened to anyone else in his pack. they can't know about his scavenging because the more who are aware of it, the more it puts the pack at risk.
tundra is the only one who knows everything, but she also asked him to continue scavenging, which he's now extremely nervous to do considering the danger it puts him (and by extension everyone else) in. tundra disagrees, saying it's always been this dangerous. she thinks it's a necessity that he just has to keep enduring for everyone's sake, which drives a wedge in their relationship.
a month or two after this, twigs comes to mount sorbet and meets timber while he's scavenging. he takes them home and feeds them, they connect over having similar trauma, twigs decides to move to glaze to live as a wolf. they become partners!!!!!
BUT THEN, the following winter (black rabbit route), senbei returns and tries to get timber to kill him in order to conclusively prove he's a murderer. timber doesn't take the bait, instead diving off a cliff into a lake to escape him. he makes it back to glaze, where twigs finds him, then once they get a chance to talk about it he finally admits to them about scavenging...
twigs accepts him!!! love wins!!!!!! AND NOW I'M WRITING THE SEQUEL WAHAHA
The Foxy Catch
he's so good in this but i already wrote a lot about it on senbei's page so i'm putting this section here as a placeholder for now

he joined after NWT was released, and has ongoing beef with treat who doesn't want him to be there.
Timber's Community Service
this comic is still new so no big summary just yet, but in chapter 1 he meets with pastille and they have a talk about how pastille should come back to another piece of candy. pastille asks why timber joined, and he says "for the free food." gets to cook whatever he wants and bring leftovers home to his pack... good situation for timber....
Date Senbei
senbei is plotting to get timber to sign some paperwork so they can get married, viewing marriage as an alternative way of imprisoning him (since he hasn't been able to prove timber's a murderer). timber gets captured and forced to wear a collar that's supposed to make him more agreeable, provided by osmanthus. it's unclear whether it has the intended effects.
you get to choose timber's reactions in this game, so there are a few different outcomes, mostly trying to weasel out of the situation in various ways.
in the normal ending, timber resists signing the papers (eating them, claiming he can't read), so senbei proposes he confess to his crimes instead. he doesn't, then twigs comes to his rescue and senbei gives up on his plan.
in the worst ending, timber asks what senbei's family thinks of this and has a whole conversation with brickzo who is trying his best to be supportive of his son. it's the worst ending because brickzo asks if they plan to have children, and timber plays along thinking this is hilarious. senbei can't deal with his new family dynamic and calls off the marriage.
there's also a set of bargaining endings where timber tries to compromise and give senbei something he'd want. one of these is a hug, which senbei rejects. another is a good meal, where timber gets distracted by having fun cooking and forgets he was trying to escape. and the last is offering to sleep with him for a night as a way to test if the marriage will even work. senbei agrees to it, but once they get to his room timber sees the plush of him given to senbei by twigs in this comic. he loses his mind over the fact that senbei actually sleeps with it, and can't wait to tell twigs about it when he goes home.
Mason AU
lilium and orchid invite timber and twigs to see a movie. this movie shows the life of mason, an alternate universe senbei where he was born a witch and is normal. timber is very entertained to see this, knowing that all senbei wants is to be able to use magic/have power himself. it's like seeing your worst enemy's best and happiest version of himself, a happiness that he can never personally attain, and timber is living for it.
WITHIN THE MOVIE, mason seeks out timber in order to try to make peace between glaze and frosting. timber finds him in the wilderness, hears him out, and starts flirting with him for fun, thinking he can use this guy to his advantage. they have a montage together where an ambiguous amount of time passes and their friendship develops. timber escalates his flirting by inviting mason to make sexual advances, which he does, and they have sex (nice).
afterwards, timber comes up with a plan to gain access to rabbits through mason. he has mason get someone to agree to be brought to glaze alone to show that they're not afraid of wolves, but instead of taking them to glaze, he pushes them off a cliff. he then lies to mason, saying the missing rabbit just ran off somewhere, and explains that it's best for him to disappear for a while so that the other rabbits (who would correctly assume he's a murderer) don't get agitated by his presence. mason says he'll wait for him, timber goes back to glaze for a few months, meets twigs, and they also have sex (nice).
spoilers for mason AU act 3 (cw: the usual things with timber's backstory)
timber returns to frosting when tundra prods him to (implying the pack really needs food again), and finds mason making the wall twice as high as it was before in order to make the rabbits feel safer (completely useless). mason is reluctant to be openly affectionate with timber where the rabbits could see him (they can't because of his wall?!) which makes timber feel like he's not on his side. so timber pivots straight to securing a second victim, and mason explains that he already got someone to agree: parsnip. the grandson of the taxidermist who stuffed a bunch of the wolves who were killed 20 years ago, including timber's dad.
parsnip is sickly, so he has to be carried up the mountain on timber's back. the whole time he's trying to explain that taxidermy maybe seems creepy on the ouside but is actually an act of respect, which feels pretty insulting to timber knowing none of the wolves from back then would have wanted their bodies to be put on display for the rabbits who killed them! like, parsnip is fully innocent, isn't even practical as a kill because he's so scrawny, and obviously does not deserve this. but timber happily drops him from his back and off the edge of the cliff because of his direct connection to what happened back then, hoping to hurt the guy who was actually responsible through killing his grandson.
but mason comes, and he tries to save parsnip with his magic. but he can only cast bricks. so he fails, and parsnip's corpse is left on a brick platform jutting out from the cliffside, impossible for timber to get to. timber asks why mason followed them, tries to claim it was an accident (mason saw everything), and then tries to get mason to help him retrieve the body. instead, mason casts a makeshift brick-cage around timber to trap him, upset at being used and lied to.
timber fires back at him, saying that he's literally only doing this for food, because mason would not provide any when asked nicely. he's doing what he has to (not fully true in this case) while guilting mason for being in a position to solve the problem and just not doing it. mason, obviously conflicted and upset, starts to cry because he wants to believe in timber but can't. so timber tries to appeal to him, asking him to put his hand on his chest so he can feel his pounding heart. timber says it's proof he's flustered when close to mason, but more likely it's his panic over the situation he's in (which mason himself points out). timber seals the deal, saying if he was only using him to get food they wouldn't have had their whole romance, and that he just doesn't know any better, his dad's dead and couldn't teach him remember??? imagine if you lost your dad mason, wouldn't that suck??????
mason frees him, wanting to believe in timber, and asks him to come back to frosting and apologize. and specifically, to do whatever the rabbits ask in order to make up for this. which timber rejects, impulsively pushing mason off the cliff with a fearful expression... where the movie ends.
"real life" timber's reaction to all of this has been... mostly to taunt senbei while they watch the plot unfold. he claims that when the movie version of him is killing rabbits using the method he "hypothetically" confessed to senbei, that's just because it's EVIL timber and not what the REAL timber would do. but throughout the movie he calls out what's about to happen next, explaining his thought process behind his onscreen actions, and even shouting one of his lines alongside movie timber.
ending spoilers again
he insists that he wouldn't kill mason though, talking over the part where mason says the thing that would change his mind... to "real" timber, it's an illogical choice that would bring more trouble than it's worth, but to movie timber it was a hasty survival strategy.
when they leave the theater, lilium presents a real-life mason to them, having made a deal to bring him over to this timeline just before he died. timber is excited to see him, feeling like ever since he saw the montage of them together that mason is his buddy. but when mason hugs him and says he forgives him for what just happened, he doesn't reciprocate, asserting that he is not the same timber. they part ways while timber teases twigs for acting jealous over his fondness for mason, then turns back to give his buddy a little wave to show that he still cares anyway... ohhh........ mason au....... do you understand why i had to write so much.................. i love them.................

Stooping to threats immediately, are we? I've only asked an innocent question. Your hostility is entirely unnecessary; it suggests a preemptive defensiveness with regard to your crimes.
You are fully aware of just how guilty you are, and yet, because you have ingratiated yourself to so many members of this community, you're allowed to stay. It is deceptive and predatory behavior. At the very least, don't you think you should apologize to those you've hurt? Confess your wrongdoing and face judgement from your peers instead of continuously dodging accountability. Or are you too much of a coward to do that? Do you regret your actions in the slightest?
